Nick Kaiser, OKC

I just returned from an annual hunting and fishing trip to Lake of the Woods in Ontario. It was Max’s first real hunting trip and he did not disappoint. The instincts he shows at 10 months are impressive. From the start, I had considered sending him off to one of your recommended trainers, but the sheer joy of having him around my family made me change my mind. Long story short, I have trained him myself. I have no doubts that he would likely be further along were he trained by a professional, but quite frankly, I am overjoyed with how well he did on this trip, and wouldn’t change a thing.

Attached is a photo of him with the most successful hunt. His retrieves ranged from the routine-25 yards right in front of him – to 70 yard retrieves though rice and muck filled bays. I may sound like a broken record, but I could not be happier with Max. I’m really excited for the fall waterfowl season to open here in OK. I continue to get numerous compliments about him from my hunting buddies as well as complete strangers. He is also a irreplaceable part of my family. My boys adore him.

Keep up the great work. I’ll keep you updated throughout the season.
